An airliner has too many parts and sub-systems, so for Chinese who wants to get their 1st airliner product up for sales fast - meeting the very hungry domestic demands ASAP, they can not await for so many new factories to start productions for so many never-before sub-systems and components, so instead of awaiting for EVERYTHING 100% to be ready domestically, they SHORT-CUT to Express Success by importing some of these, when their own versions are not ready, just market the main airliner product ASAP. These are not very high tech parts that need long research breakthrough whatsoever, but just things that they have not yet setup a factory to make yet, and will be faster to import to meet market demands ASAP.

Big deal if planes crashed or car crashed? It happens daily, and all the whole while happening to Ang Moh made planes! Where is Ang Moh made MH370? SQ006? AF447? JL123? CL676? Who made them? Does it matter at all?
Big deals? Just life! Countless Ang Moh made planes already fell off the sky, and so what for some Chinese made planes to join them?
Does this means that Ang Moh Mercedes should not be in the car business too?

Plane crashes don't happen daily. It doesn't matter who made them, but it certainly matters how often they experience technical issues.
