The custom-made version of the world's most expensive iPhone is now available to the general public for just £10 million (US$16.7 million), reports Hong Kong newspaper Wen Wei Po.
Last year, the iPhone 5 Black Diamond — hand-crafted with 24-carat gold, 600 white diamonds and a 26-carat flawless black diamond — made headlines around the world after a mysterious Chinese businessman known only as Joe commissioned British designer Stuart Hughes to make it.
The phone, which took nine weeks to create, shattered Hughes' previous record for the most expensive iPhone ever sold, the US$3.2 million iPhone 3GS Supreme.
Now Hughes has made the same phone he custom-built for Joe available for purchase on his official website, for the price of £10 million.
The iPhone 5 Black Diamond is only one of several gold phones for sale on Hughes' website and the website of his company, Goldstriker International.
Other options include the iPhone 5 Solid Gold, the iPhone 4G Supreme Diamond Rose, the Diamond Nokia Princess and the 24-carat Gold & Supreme Diamond BlackBerry Q10 Unique.
