san jose airport (sjc) was 3rd world when i first arrived but now it’s one of the most modern in the u.s.

in the next 6.9 years, google will take over downtown san jose and sexpand its new campus there while apple will build a new campus in north san jose bordering trimble, charcot, orchard parkway, and north 1st street.

also in another 6.9 years, a light landmark will rise near downtown next to the sap center. there used to be a giant arc light tower over a century ago, but it came crashing down in 1915 during a storm. this fiber optic light structure will be its 21st century replacement.
