He is probably not as good as the countless young conductors out there in the scene in Europe and the Balkans. The Balkan scene is not easy to break into contrary to what one may believe. I did not even bother to read the whole article after seeing his name and hippie hairstyle. Did he conduct those mentioned Russian orchestras on a gig-basis and is he appointed the Residential Conductor/Music Director? This guy is trying to “re-invade” the local scene but misread the scene badly. Concert goers here are mainly upper-middle class and elites and not some leftist liberal hippie peers he made in the local or European institutions. The audience in the photos of himself conducting does not look like upper-middle class or elites to me. Maybe just some weekend matinee outreach concerts for the public, standing in for the residential conduct. A proper hair-cut and starting talking like any other properly educated professional and perhaps he may stand a chance in conducting some neighbourhood schools student orchestras. His vibes have already excluded him from elite school orchestras of RI, ACS (I), HCI, NYGS, DHS and St’ Nics. Whining to the media like this is a career suicide.
