All these hiccups did not just happen over night. It took 10years in the making and SMRT is not fully to blame infact SMRT is the scape goat that shielded LTA from all this fuckups. Way back when the BPLRT was in the setting up stage did LTA do a study on the type of system the LRT should be? It was a rush job and everytime 1 of my co-workers or me brought something up about the substandard or items that did not meet specs during its commisioning stage we were told to shut up from our big boss. Who was told by LTA to tell us that its not our job to report but just to witness that the job was carried out. After 10years plus those that are staying around the bkt panjang area do you agree with me that most of the time when it rains heavyly the system will screw up? The real screw up came for SMRT was when they brough in Ms Saw as their CEO. Her COST CUTTING measures was the envy of many high ups but to us guys at ground lvl we call them CORNER CUTTING. She removed all the seasoned staff and surrounded herself with dumbass paper pushers yes man. These ass lickers who did not know shit about running the system came up with ideas that may sound nice but does not work in the long term and push it hard to this dumb bitch. I happen to talk to one of them and guess what he knew it won't work but he does not care as he told me by the time it fails it will be somebody elses problem and he would have been transfered or promoted. Well guess what you sinkies out there proper maintainance is like KAMA and I hope you all believe in KAMA because cheat her long enough she will come back and kick you in the ass. Guess what guys it ASS KICKING time.

The string of problems affecting our transport system today hints at a system failure and I don't mean technical system failures. These systems have been bought whole lock and barrel like what have been supplied to other parts of the world. I am referring to the system of planning and managing our entire transport network system. In my humble opinion, it is in need of a major revamp, not just technical sub-system repair.

The trouble with corporations is that people take a short term view. This guy is just playing the corporate game & probably moved on to better things when all the shit happens. Same problem can be seen with our politicians, many of them are just in the game to make $$$$ & to retire in some cushy GLC.

No one wants to stick their neck out to do the proper thing. That's why I have to laugh when someone claims that LKY is a great leader. A great leader is someone who is not afraid to hear about alternative views and not someone who scares people into silence.

The LRT had been breaking down frequently long before the MRT lines started to fuck it up.

THe LRT is nothing more than a hare-brained scholar decision: to show off how high tech Sinkieland is and score brownie points.
Driverless system and windows that automatically turn opaque to prevent you from peeping, ooh that's some impressive high tech shit!

And if you're unfortunate enough to have the LRT running through your neighborhood, you'll also notice the deliberately reduced number of buses servicing that area after the LRT is up and running.
