The owner of a car workshop was charged on Friday for allegedly causing the death of a motorcyclist by driving dangerously.

Koh Chin Leong is also accused of drink driving and failing to render assistance after knocking down Mr Yeap Siew Loon.

The 40-year-old Malaysian cook died from injuries sustained in the accident along Sims Avenue East on Aug 29, 2010.

Koh is believed to been speeding at 114kmh on the road, which has a 60kmh speed limit.

The charge sheets also state that his car collided into the rear of Mr Yeap's motorcycle travelling on the extreme right lane of the four-lane road at about 4.10am.

He then hit a minibus.
