The frequent MRT breakdowns is getting ridiculous and embarrassing however I wonder if there is any worker or student being punished for being late cause by MRT breakdown?

Do businesses, education institutes, financial institutes, healthcare sector, etc etc need to build into their plan, work schedule, time table and contingencies for this frequent fuckups?

With the frequent breakdowns maybe it is time for LTA to consider implementation of motorcycle taxis like Bkk, to ferry stranded passengers to the next station. If we do not have the ability to move forward, it is ok to move backwards

During my ns days. Encik always tell us. If u later due to rain etc. U will b punished as no excuses. At work do OT till 10pm eetc next day still must b at work at 8am. Cos its part of the job. With cheap fts etc. I dont think there is any humanity left with these bosses. Boss sam is a good example.

The problem is that in Singapore you have little to no say! It is also true that staying late occasionally is expected and is part of the employment contract here. However, it doesn't mean you can't request stuff to ease the suffering of staying back late. I have to stay back last week for an emergency work. Boss came around and asked nicely if I can stay, I said sure, provid you give me a nice meal and a cab home. Meal cost $17, nice grilled half chicken, cab ride home was $168, prestige cab, all company paid. This way, they know not to ask you until absolutely necessary. The next day I came in late and went home early as well. This doesn't happen all the time, maybe once every 6 month, if it was everyday, I would have raised HR or looked for another job.
