There is a positive aspect of this Ah Yaw’s saga.
Because of moral ground, Hougang will have a By-election , like it or not !
This By-election, Workers Party can reach out to all Singaporean voters !
One SMC, one battle , and all Singaporeans will focus on subjects that are affecting their daily lives !
We strongly believe that this by-election., the chief object should include bringing wisdom and confidence to the people !
One Chinese saying---“ Witnesses see more clearly what happens”
The PRC scholar may be right saying more dogs than humans are found in Singapore right !
You see, daft voters heard “ Sorry “ last GE, they bit and they are still waiting for the durians that will never drop !
Nothing comes to their brains to think about how people to win compassionate votes right !
We, hardcore Workers Party supporters hope this By-election, the Honorable WP MPs speak up to the people !
Many times before, we tried to tell Oppo parties that the problem is the voters not PAP.
It is the mandate that is causing the misery !
If Oppo parties work on the people, there is hope to win votes and take 1/3 out of 87 !
One thing is for sure, even if there is no capable Oppo parties to take on PAP, PAP will still collapse over time and the Singaporeans will live with regrets !
Of course, we hope Workers Party play a bigger part in the Govt office so the forthcoming pain can be alleviated !
Below are some issues we hope Workers party bring up to the people of Singapore this By-election ----
Public transport –All Singaporeans regardless of age should have subsidized rate ( 30 to 50%), high transport fares affecting daily expenses ! MRT and buses are used mostly by FTs and PRs, further, if PAP uses huge public money to subsidise MRT and Bus operators (so-called privatized), and benefit share –holders, what do Singaporeans get out of this funny system ?
WP MPs should educate the voters what is called privatized service !
Defence budget—11 billion is spent on defence, who is the likely enemy near Singapore ? What does Singapore have ? HDB flats ? We are not saying the island rid of defence, by all means, have a good one but the paranoid one right ! If Defence Budget is greatly reduced, subsidizing other public services like healthcare and education for Singaporeans will be a big relief !
Taking care of elderly and the unfortunates –this is no big deal, if Ministers can draw millions annually , a rich govt taking care of elderly and unfortunates is peanuts, why the hooha when this is norm among the rich countries right ?
The more pressing issue is the cost of living that is affecting the rest of people who are eking out a decent living !
HDB cost of building –this is a very serious issue that all voters should know ! We have to face the reality that fairy-tale economy will not go on for life. People pour in their life savings for the four walls, many people will not have enough retirement funds when they become grey !
Keep bringing new immigrants will not solve the CPF problem !
We keep telling this HDB problem is a very huge problem, we either face it now or we face it later , face it later will see more damages by the people, especially the younger ones !
The list is endless but the rally days may be a very short one.
We have only one plea to Workers Party , this by-election is the god-sent opportunity to reach out to all the people in Singapore, don’t waste it , work on the voters , not only Hougang but the whole island !
When you let the voters know their responsibility when they vote, you oredi have brought wisdom to the people !
WE know Workers Party can form 1/3 out of 87 next GE , this by-election is the stepping stone to achieve this goal !
When you hit where its hurt the most , you get results !
It is the voters who are causing all these durian talks but durians never drop !
When you try to please every one, you will please no one !
So we hope Workers Party share the concerns with the voters, ask the voters what are they voting for ?
If Workers Party shows its willingness to work with all the people this by-election, hope is nigh !
WE cannot still let the people live in the dark , they need the light, we hope workers party be the light !
