Estate Duty was removed for deaths on and after 15 Feb 2008 in S'pore. Estate duty is a tax on the total market value of a person's assets at the date of his or her death. All the wealthy S'poreans who own multiple properties in S'pore in places like Holland-Bukit Timah and East Coast will vote for the PAP!
