In what seems like another embarrassing PR fiasco for Minister Teo Ser Luck, a foreign worker responded to the Minister’s Facebook post that the make-shift cardboard bed is comfortable. Minister Teo Ser Luck posted a photo of him unwillingly lying down on a foreign worker’s bed and wrote:

“Quite comfy! I learnt that some workers prefer to sleep without a mattress as they are used to it back in their home country. They find it more comfortable and cooler too!”

Foreign worker Ibrahim Khali then posted on his post debunking his claims and requested for improvement to workers’ dormitory:

“Sir in our home we used to sleep at the mattress but here not for comfortable we r sleeping without mattress, it’s just coz of wether so hot in the room. One room 12 person but only 2 fan. Is it possible to sleep in a mattress with 2 fan only? Dormitory management never allow more than 2 fan in the room.”

mattresses in these environments are prone to be infested with bedbugs, fleas, lice, ticks, and human secretions. they are health hazards, and the slight discomfort far outweighs the false sense of luxury. pap is the best!

Millions of sinkees are so stupid to spend on mattresses.

hammocks are the best for the tropical climate - foldable, portable, hangable between trees, posts or pillars, usable in void decks, campsites, dorms, washable, breathable, less prone to be hideouts for bugs and diseases, can be "stackable" like bunk beds for a densed room or cabin (used in sailor quarters in warships during ww2), safe, wraps sleeper to prevent one from falling.

Johnny Tang Are you serious? Is your head so far up the ivory tower that you can't even see how insensitive and condescending this post is? Our politicians really need to reflect on how far out of touch they are with reality...

Ali Yahya Raee So who in the dormitory lied to him that they prefer to sleep without mattress? Or your own men told you that? Last time some aunties/uncles misled another minister that they pick up cardboard to exercise. What is wrong with these people who are more concern about face value than telling the truth to our ministets?

Jeff Chua Another reason they would rather sleep without a mattress is because of bed bugs which often infest their dormitories.

sg Ministars all cheesepie kias

to them, collecting cardboards is exercise

sleeping on wooden plank is very comfortable

Wow, these PAP ministers never fail to fight and win new lows!

Just like to know since it is so comfy, does he, his chief boss and his minister cohort, sleeps without mattress since it is so comfy to sleep without mattress and curled up in a bunk bed?

Amazing people SG has in Parliement, and paid millions for doing so too!

2 fans is too many should reduce to 1 aircon

He looks very uncomfortable... probably saw the cum stains on the wooden board above and immediately regretted posing for the photo.
