Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong has now returned to work after recovering from a surgery to treat prostate cancer last week.
ESM Goh, 73, updated his Facebook about his health saying that his urologist had given him the all clear.
Mr Goh was diagnosed with prostate cancer and he just completed a successful surgery. His doctor explained that the cancer had been detected early and it was still localised so
it was able to be removed with surgery.
Dr Sim Hong Gee, who was attending to Mr Goh, had earlier said that Mr Goh was expected to make a full recovery.
Mr Goh thanked his well-wishers for their concern and encouragement and explained that he would need to walk on more level ground to while his wounds from the surgery healed.
He said that he is unable to do sports for another 4 to 6 weeks until he heals completely. He even shared that he needs to do regular Kegel exercises in order to strengthen his pelvic floor and reduce incontinence.
