Former President Arroyo discharged from hospital

Former Philippine President and current Pampanga Second District Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has been discharged from St. Luke's Medical Center as early as Friday night, her doctors announced Saturday.
Arroyo's attending physician Dr. Juliet Cervantes revealed that the former president "was given the go signal to rest and continue recovering at home," ABS-CBN reports.
Arroyo was diagnosed with cervical spondylosis early this year and had undergone a total of three surgeries to repair her damaged cervical spine. Despite being discharged from the hospital, Cervantes said that Arroyo "still wear a halo vest" to help stabilize her vertebrae.
Arroyo was rushed to St Luke's last July 25, moments after President Benigno Aquino delivered his second State of the Nation Address (SONA.)
The former president has been charged with five plunder cases before the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Office of the Ombudsman, prior to her confinement at St. Luke's.
