How this scene came about was lengendary.
Bruce Lee called Chuck Norris (then reigning karate world champion).
Basically, it went something like this...
Bruce Lee: Hello Chuck, I have a fighting scene in my new movie and I wish to invite you to co-star as my opponent.
Chuck Norris: Is it? Do I get win the fight in the scene?
Bruce Lee: Of course not. I'm the star in the movie.
Chuck Norris: And you want to beat me the world karate champion in your movie?
Bruce Lee: No, I want to kill you in my movie.
Chuck Norris: (LOL!)

In later years after Bruce Lee passed away and Chuck Norris was interviewed...
Interviewer: If there was a real fight, would you have beaten Bruce Lee.
Chuck Norris: Of course not, he's the best. It was a real fight and I lost.
