<!-- end left side bar --> <!-- story content : start --> A WOMAN believed to have been involved in several cases of theft at the National University Hospital (NUH) was arrested on Monday. Police received reports of two thefts from two women on Saturday at 7pm. They had left their bags unattended in NUH and returned to find their wallets missing.
The wallets contained about $270 in cash, credit cards, EZ link cards and personal documents. Through extensive investigation, police officers managed to establish the identity of the suspect, and the 19-year-old woman was caught on Monday at 11pm at Whampoa Drive.
Police found $124 in cash, an EZ Link card, pawnshop tickets and items which the suspect was believed to have bought with the stolen money and credit cards. The suspect will be charged in court on Wednesday for theft. If convicted, she faces jail for up to three years, fine, or both.
