The trio planned to rob a Malaysian money changer courier delivering currencies to money changing outlets here.

The brains behind the heist were Nurhasimah Abdullah, her 22-year-old son, and Abdul Jalil Nasar, who had inside information on when and where to make the hit.

Nurhasimah also roped in her niece's husband who led five Bangladeshis to ambush Mr Zainun Sultan Baharuddin at a Dorset Road apartment in May 2010.

A total of $216,236 was stolen but none of it went into the pockets of the three plotters.
