A man who is only around 1m tall (3.5 feet) managed to dupe a 22-year-old woman in Hyderabad, India, into parting with Rs2mil (S$45,000) by posing as a handsome man on Facebook, reported Tamil Nesan.

The woman, an MBA graduate, had lodged a police report that Rajapathi had introduced himself as an electronics graduate and a professional working in the software industry.

She claimed that after frequent chats and conversations over the phone, Rajapathi told her he was suffering from a kidney disease and needed financial aid.

Blinded by love, the woman agreed to help him. After she handed over the money to a friend of Rajapathi, he stopped contacting her.

Realising that she had been conned, the woman lodged a complaint with the police, who tracked Rajapathi's IP address to his house in Bowenpally.

Authorities arrested Rajapathi on Tuesday and recovered Rs4.75 lakh (S$108,000) in cash, a laptop and two handphones.

so in the end she made profit

What profit? She'll only get back what belongs to her. The rest of the $$, probably conned from some other gals, will be confiscated by the authorities.
