TAIPEI - A woman passenger departing from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport for Singapore was asked to leave a Jetstar Asia flight after she refused to comply with a flight attendant's instructions to place her carry-on handbag under her front seat.

The woman surnamed Chang and her daughter got onboard a passenger plane of Jetstar Asia that was scheduled to take off at 7.55pm last Saturday.

But she refused to follow the instructions to place her handbag under the front seat as all other passengers did, saying she had cash inside the bag.

Unable to persuade Chang, the flight attendant sought help from the captain, who told her to “get out” the plane.

Taking the captain's words in English as a public insult, Chang said she will hire a lawyer to sue the pilot.

The conflict caused a delay of 90 minutes as the plane took off at 9.25pm without Chang and her daughter, who were led off the plane by aviation police.

There was a big hoo haa on TV few days ago where the journalist interviewed the woman in question.

I felt strongly that the pilot did the right thing. Flight delay is a serious matter. If she sues the pilot, the rest of the passengers can sue her. If Jetstar was made to compensate Taoyuan Airport for the delay, Jetstar will counter-sue.

Airlines must enforce strict rules on hand luggages. KNN everytime see so many assholes bring big luggage to plane. CCB security risk and personal risk. All luggages bigger than 7kg must be check in. Make it compulsory!

The moment I saw the headlines, I knew it involved a Chinese female. I have seen this before and on a number of occasions. Coming into HK, the Pilot announced that due to strong cross winds, he will be diverting to Guangzhou. A lady in business class immediately stood up and told the stewardess that her husband will be meeting her in HK airport only and to notify the pilot that he cannot divert. There was stunned silence and then the whole cabin burst out laughing.

Give her a parachute and ask her jump out.
I am not sure what is wrong with Chinese women.
Excuse the language, but I think the whole problem with them is their hole problem.

look like taiwan woman, go to malaysia for holiday with her daughter. it is pretty rare for woman in taiwan her age to dye her hair like this. obviously she is a nut case.

機長還要她:「GET OUT!」

if i am on her plane with her, and lost 90 mins for nothing. very angry

lucky i never fly long distance on budget airlines or cheap airlines.
only short hop less than 1-2 hours, i might even consider budget airlines depend on situation.

so by not flying cheap airlines, i am avoiding a lot of people.

also i have to carry a lot of stuff, cheap airlines is really not suitable.

fucking middle age crisis, can't decide whether she is Chinese or a fake ang moh. She felt insulted that the pilot barked instructions in English to get her off the plane.

Presumably the pilot was ang moh, she had probably thought the ang moh would have asked to fuck her instead.

Sounds like a sour puss.:oIo:

If I were the plane captain, I would have let her into to the cabin and flew the plane as per normal. When it flew over the pacific ocean, I eject her from the plane...:p

no, there is no ejection seat in passanger jet, you cannot even open the door when in the air, unless you fly really low, due to the pressurise cabin.

i know you were joking, but a human life is precious, joke about taking life is not cool.

yes you should be sorry, you should apologise to her, by marrying her daughter, then she become your mother in law.

Re: still my fav

I support the Captain decision. If Mrs Chang dare to sue the Jetstar, sure she will have to pay all the cost. Eg. flight delay, court, lowyer cost and parking fee for plane not cheap.
She will immediate withdraw the case when she saw counter sue letter from Jetstar.
