SINGAPORE: A 27-year-old woman has been charged with multiple counts of maid abuse.
Property agent Wong Pui Kwan is accused of hurting two maids, using criminal force, committing a rash act, as well as insulting the modesty of one of the maids, between October and December 2011.

Wong is accused of insulting the same 28-year-old Filipino maid by pulling down her shorts and underwear.
She is said to have thrown a frying pan at the maid's head.
Wong allegedly slapped and kicked the other maid.
If convicted of voluntarily causing hurt, she faces a maximum jail term of two years and S$5,000 fine on each count.
For acting rashly and endangering the maid's life, Wong could be jailed up to one year and fined S$5,000.
The highest punishment for using criminal force is three months' jail and a S$500 fine.
If found guilty of insulting the modesty of one of the maids, Wong faces a one-year jail term and a fine.
