SINGAPORE: A 25-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of acting as a money mule in a delivery order scam.
The scam involved the posting of online advertisements on the sale of smart phones on popular websites at below market prices.
She is believed to have been recruited as a money mule to transfer the proceeds of the crime.
Police said preliminary investigations show that the woman's role was to remit any inflow of funds to an overseas bank account.
She would then earn a percentage of commission from the funds remitted.
Investigations are still ongoing. - CNA/gn
