A woman's butt was allegedly touched by a man several times during a commute on the MRT.
A 30-second video of the incident has been circulated online.
According to comments accompanying the video, which was originally uploaded on facebook, this incident took place a few months ago though its exact location was not disclosed.
STOMPer SGTrain, who contributed the video to STOMP, wrote:
"This video shows a male molesting a female on the train, and the male did not stop his actions causing the female to move out of the male's hand.
"Female commuters, beware of this molester."
According to a Police statement, members of the public who have witnessed such incidents are advised to lodge a report online or at any Police Post.
The statement read:
"Members of public who have witnessed the incident are advised to lodge a Police report via the Electronic Police Centre (ePC) at http://www.spf.gov.sg/epc/index.html or at any Neighbourhood Police Centre /Police Post to provide us with more details so that we can look into it."
What should female commuters make of physical contact by men on a crowded, jerky train ride? Should it be shrugged off as accidental, or taken as an outrage of one's modesty?
