Woman accused of tying up nephew, 7

A WOMAN whose five-year-old nephew was found dead in a flat on Sunday was charged yesterday with mistreating his elder brother.

The 47-year-old dishwasher is accused of tying the seven-year-old boy's hands to a metal beam attached to a kitchen wall, using a piece of cloth.

She is also said to have tied his legs to a PVC pipe attached to the kitchen sink with another piece of cloth.

Both brothers were under her care when the alleged offence took place at the two-room flat in Choa Chu Kang between last Friday and Sunday.

The accused had returned home in the early hours of Sunday morning and found the five-year-old lying motionless on a mattress in the living room.

She was arrested later that day.

The accused, a dishwasher, likely to be below average intelligence or even dull. Why was she ending up having to work and taking care of her 2 nephews?

She was charged with mistreating her elder brother, probably the father of the dead boy. So, the boys father is either handicap or even lower IQ? Otherwise why need to tie up the 7 year old?

Where is the mother? And the 5 year old, is he slow/retard or having some sickness, and is he tied up as well leading to his death?

She was charged with mistreating the elder brother of the dead boy. Not HER elder brother.
