SINGAPORE - Workers can enjoy seven long weekends in 2015 as many of the gazetted public holidays next year fall on a Friday or Monday.
The Manpower Ministry announced on Tuesday that there will be 11 gazetted public holidays next year. They are:
New Year's Day - Thursday, Jan 1
Chinese New Year - Thursday, Feb 19 and Friday, Feb 20
Good Friday - Friday, April 3
Labour Day - Friday, May 1
Vesak Day - Monday, June 1
Hari Raya Puasa - Friday, July 17
National Day - Sunday, Aug 9 (The following Monday is a public holiday.)
Hari Raya Haji - Thursday, Sept 24
Deepavali - Tuesday, Nov 10 (subject to change)
Christmas Day - Friday, Dec 25

Sir, HongKong has 17 PHs in 2014 and also 2015.
i do not know their system if a PH falls on a Sunday.
