Wimbledon 2012

Not sure if the brothers here remember Justine Henin. I admired her alot when she was still playing. Despite her small size, she managed to beat her much bigger opponents (was damn happy whenever she beat that gorilla bitch Serena Williams). She brought back feminism to the women's game with her graceful moves round the court. She gave beauty back to the women's game that was spoiled by the likes of Serena Williams who used brute strength and bulldozed their way through. Justine had a legendary backhand that John McEnroe called the best ever. Regrettably she retired from the game at young age.

Another 'small' woman player is Martina Hinggis. Despite her small size she did quite well in the circuit.

That's right. Not forgetting Monica Seles too whose career tragically ended when she was knifed in the back by a crazy spectator. Then came the rise of the Williams sisters who brought ugliness to the game with all that brutal force and vulgar movement not to mention the lack of class at post match press conferences.

ya i hope she beats serena....and soundly too.

Azarenka should beat Serena......................Serena looking very heavy and static................Azarenka has improved on her movement and mental strength................

Of course! What a fine player, superb strokes, and power that was frequently under-estimated.
An extremely competitive and fiery player, never knows when she is beaten.

She's the one with the fearsome singLe-handed backstrokes, i recaLLed..which some pundits said was deadLier
than her forehand.

Not only small size but non-distinguished profile. Maybe that helped her game.

Agnieska Radwanska of Poland is through to the women's final after defeating Angelique Kerber of Germany in the first SF.

Serena Williams of USA is currently leading Victoria Azarenka of Belarus by 1 set to zero.

Men's SF tomorrow:

Federer vs Djorkovic
Tsonga vs Murray

I like Tsonga. Very powerful serves.

He once said that he doesn't like to play tennis and would rather be doing something else.
Probably too lucrative right now...................................
All action player, just an all round athlete.

Second set now going to tie break. Serena up one set against Victoria.

Update: Serena just won. Now through to the final against Radwanska. Final no chiobu. :(

Yeah, now looking forward to men's SF and men's final Friday and Sunday.

Tsonga... excellent player but mental need to get stronger to break the top 3....2 sets up against Djokovic with 2 match pt on hand in this yr french open semi final...unfortunately, still slip up & loss to Djokovic...

another note, his body shape looks like more of rugby player than tennis player...

ah i am equally disappointed

At one time Novak Djokovic always meet Roger Federer in Grand Slam semis due to their seeding. At that time Novak was always seeded 3rd and Federer 1st. Federer most of the time would beat him and enter the final.

Now the tide has turned. It is Novak who is the world no. 1 and is beating Federer regularly. I still hope Federer has something in him to win one more Grand Slam before retiring.
