Sharapova is now down 1 set and 2 games to 5 to my current favourite tennis player.

Sabine Lisicki - love her booming serve, thunder thighs and cheeky smile.............................

Come on Sabine! :p

update: Sabine has just defeated Maria!!!!! Sorry for those who like Russian chiobus.....................

Another thing I love about Wimbledon.

Watching former player Vijay Armitraj talk about anything tennis on TV. Articulate, knowledgeable, humerous, well-travelled, polite, he knows almost everyone and everything about tennis. Full of quotes like "in the Wimbledon final of 1990....................."

One more thing, he once said that he really likes Singapore! :p

How about Simona Halep before her breast reduction?

I have stopped watching Wimbledon, when the era of McEnroe, Bjorn Borg, Jimmy Connors, Ivan Lendl, Peter McNamara, Billy jean King, Martina Navratilova , Higgins etc ended. I used hang a poster of Borg behind my room door, & owned one of his endorsed racquet (wooden) before I switched over to the brand Prince. My 'balls' chasing days are over...and so is watching tennis..nothing like the old days of Jimmy Connors-Ivan Lendl- John McEnroe-Bjorn Borg rivalries.

Nowadays I chase different types of "balls" that bounce in front... ha ha ha ha

Bro, I prefer womens' tennis than men's, watching it on espnstar sports in the evening.
Not only is Vijay charming, he is such a personable character too, with bags of knowledge on anything tennis.
One of my favourite sports commentators ever.
Even when there was a rain break and he was talking about rain breaks, he managed to make it so interesting.

Lendl is now the coach of Britain's hope Andy Murray.
McEnroe is now a commentator, hope he doesn't bring in abusive language into his commentary!!!!
