The likelihood is NO for most people. This then explains why SGs have allowed Foreigners to overrun the country with hardly any concrete resistance. For half a century, the Familee has ingrained into SGs that SG = FAP, that SG belongs to one Familee. And in recent times, the FAP lumped citizens with PRs as "residents", and proclaimed "SG is an immigrant society" (when even the grannies were already locally born!) with hardly any dissent from SGs. In other countries, such proclamation is tantamount to TREASON and would have brought about a revolution.
In the mind of most SGs, however, they subconsciously believe the FAP's words that they have no special rights in the land they were born in. That they have no ownership of anything in SG. When in actual fact, it is the Familee which has hijacked the nation and turned SGs into cash cows to be quickly and ruthlessly abandoned as soon as they are milked dry.
Emboldened by the lack of meaningful reaction of SGs but to guard against the rising discontent, especially from young SGs, the Familee decides to open the gates wide to Foreigners to dilute SGs' voices. The bonus is that this also raises demand for housing and other services that are monopolized by the FAP, which rakes in awesome return for the FAP and allow them more financial capital to hold SGs to even a greater ransom.
Insatiable greed being the FAP's second nature, the gates are opened even wider. To hell with the 40% - as long as there 60% goondus on their side! This is what the Traitor PM must have on his mind after the last GE and the 40% support he still received in a hardcore Oppo ward in the BE despite his going back on his 'apology' and dished out more of the same to SGs quickly after the GE.
The fact is that the 60% have completely given in to the FAP and the 40% have given up on the 60%. One can feel a sense of despair and resignation all around that the evil FAP is here to stay for good. Those who can leave will leave and those who can't will continue to grind through life and work till death or till they are replaced by Foreigners and wait to die...
The sliver of hope though is that there are still a few good and brave SGs who refuse to say die and are prepared to fight the FAP Traitors till the end to show SGs the way to go to take back what belongs to you!
