Malaysia have hope only after Anwar switch camp and become an opposition (ignore the circumstances of how he become one). This gave the Malaysian hope because they have someone who was previously in the cabinet, understands how things works in the country. It gave them the confidence in voting for opposition.

I think sinkies (especially old people) are scared because none of the opposition members got the experience in running the country. Does it mean that we will see hope only when a PAP Minister jump ship? Who you want see jump ship?

hi there

1. fat kid.
2. that would be hell or suicide for those ball-less dafter sheep and running dogs.
3. it can only happen when pigs fly hoh:D

Is that why none of the old Ministers ever retire? They will always be connected directly or indirectly?

as long as they get parachuted into comfortable glc retirement as ceo etc, no one will ever think of giving all that up. unless they kena secretly filmed with their ahmad in hotel 88..

Well for singapore's case, we have a former PAP MP who went over to the other side..that is Tan Cheng Bock....and he was gotten rid of by PAP as he was becoming to vocal against his Pappie masters...

With regards to Anwar, when he was DPM., he was popular and was seen as efficient and capable. He was the one to lead the change from within BN..but he became too popular for Mahatir and was becoming a threat to his business interest, hence had to be gotten rid off.

Probably not. No pappy wants to be seen as a traitor and deal with the negative repercussions.

However, what might happen is that the PAP will split into two (or more) factions after the Old Fossil has kicked the bucket.

Spot on! One good example is Ong Ye Kung, another is Yam Ah Mee.

The other is George Yeo...

His is also vocal and the problem is he overshines the master and poses a threat to the PM leadership

His stature in the Asean circuit is higher than PM Lee .As senior minister and foreign minister, his views is much sought by his Asean counterparts.

Hence, he was enginered out in the last General Election while Khaw was tactically moved out of aljunie
so that he can be useful to his master in another role.

A selfish move for PM own"s political agenda and to the detriment of Singapore and Asean.

1. yo! come on man:D
2. get real, georgie:p
3. switching camp.

George yeo is an asshole. I am glad he was voted out. As a Foreign Minister he did nothing. He was also very instrumental in putting the opposition down. He keep telling his overseas counterparts that voting for opposition is bad and so on...than during the last erection,,he say vote for pap for change within,,and his GRC team,,that women was quite hated in Aljunied,..sprout shit like the Cow

Anwar isn't the only jumper. PKR his party has some others. Chua Jui Meng (former MCA Vice President) and Tan Kee Kwong (former Gerakan Selangor chief) are just two of them. Both are former ministers.
