Thai actress Christine Gulasatree Michalsky has filed a police report against a rescue worker who reportedly sexually assaulted her during a medical emergency.
According to the 30-year-old, the incident occurred in her home at between 2am and 3am on March 31 while she awaited transportation to the hospital, reported The Bangkok Post.
Christine said she had suffered breathing difficulties and a panic episode after taking medication, according to Thai media Khaosod English.
Feeling light-headed, she was unable to move but said she remained fully conscious.
The man who was dispatched with the emergency unit to transport her reportedly sexually assaulted her when they were alone in a room.
He reportedly touched her inappropriately and partially undressed her while she was on her bed.
"While I was in an extremely vulnerable state, unable to move or protect myself, I was sexually assaulted. This should never happen to anyone," she wrote in an Instagram post.
On April 1, Christine told reporters she was very weak but remained conscious during the assault. Despite her blurry vision, she saw that the accused also took obscene photos of her.
"I could not believe someone who is supposed to save lives would do this," she said, adding that she intended to pursue legal action to the fullest extent.
She reportedly filed a police complaint and underwent forensic examination at a police hospital to collect necessary evidence. Her pyjamas were also handed in.
This ex-rescue volunteer from another area was still covertly active in an emergency‑alert Line group.
The 43-year-old was reportedly arrested on April 3 on charges of committing indecent assault against a person aged over 15.
After a long investigation, Nikorn admitted to sexually assaulting the actress and taking obscene photos of her. He claimed that he did not forward the images to anyone and deleted them after learning that the victim had filed a complaint.
He will reportedly be taken into detention at the Bangkok South Criminal Court today (April 3).
