He is not going to get his wish fulfilled and will have to fight for his place like other star players as long they ended up in big clubs like Man City, Chelsea, Man Utd, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich. Below is old news. He has chosen Chelsea.

The Belgium international says he still hasn't chosen where he will be playing next season but admitted he expects to be a first-choice at whatever club he ends up at

That's the main reason why he wanted to go to a club where he can play as the second striker or "in the hole".
If he plays as a central midfielder or as a wide midfielder or winger, it's likely that he will be overrun on the defensive end.
He operates best only in the area between the middle of the opponent's half and the goal, i.e. "the hole".

Teams will have to shut out the hole, so that he can't operate well.
As former Middlesboro/Coventry manager, Scotland and Man Utd midfielder Gordan Strachan commented:
"If there's no hole, you can't play in it."

Abramovich obviously wants him to be Chelsea's own "Messi". He would be interesting to watch.

However I am worried about his style of play in a more physical game. Plus, he does a lot of close control and turning, which wears out the ankles and knees very fast. No problem when he's 21 years old, but don't think he can still do that in 5 years of professional football...

I hope to see Hulk and Lavezzi play in the top 4 leagues. BPL, Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga. Unfortunately Lavezzi has a 90% chance of joining Paris Saint-Germain.

Hulk may be a Chelsea player next season, but his former team mate Radamel is a much better player.

Yes no doubt but i also like versatile players like Hulk, Lavezzi. They are all rounders and valued more by clubs.

Hulk is not that versatile, he has only one main trick, powering past the defender marking him and taking a pot shot at goal.
Sometimes he scores great goals, but others are skyed upwards.
Falcao is a much more dangerous player with his skill, heading ability and running off the ball.

My favorurite Serie A player is Lavezzi's team mate Marek Hamsik. He has everything you want in an attacking midfielder.

You are kidding right? Hulk main role is a winger but he is also a striker and his name popped up on the score sheets too many times.

IMO this is how the big three at Napoli ranks

Lavezzi
Cavani
Marek Hamsik

Hamsik is better at creating chances than scoring goals and he is quite bad at taking penalties.

Why Chelsea see Hulk as the perfect replacement for Didier Drogba

Manchester City fans teased Hulk with chants of "you're not incredible" when they faced Porto in the Europa League earlier this season. But it appears he will have opportunity to prove himself against the Premier League champions when he completes a move to Chelsea.

Hulk, real name Givanildo Vieira de Souza, might not have the ability to withstand nuclear explosions or punch his way through brick walls, but he has a lethal left foot which would make even his namesake, ahem, green with envy.

For Brazil against Denmark: May 2012

Hulk was the inspiration for Brazil as he led them to a 3-1 victory over Denmark, who began the game in disarray but finished it giving Mano Menezes' team all sorts of problems at the back.

Benfica v Porto: March 2 2012

A rampant start from Porto saw the visitors take the lead after just seven minutes. Pablo Aimar was dispossessed in his own half as the team tried to set up a counter attack after a corner, and Hulk picked up the ball on the right flank. The striker cut inside and fired a powerful left-foot drive past Artur from the edge of the box. Porto went on to win 3-2.

Porto registered a 2-0 victory against the third division minnows from Setubal in the quarter-final of the Portuguese Cup. There's no denying the quality of the goal, though, despite the calibre of the opposition.

Porto secured a Europa League semi-final berth with this 5-2 away win in Russia. Hulk opened the scoring for the visitors after 28 mins with a delightful run from inside his own half and a clinical finish from outside the six-yard box.

Porto had begun their Europa League campaign in Ukraine and had to come from behind in this 2-1 win. Hulk's spectacular 28th-minute goal was the beginning of the fightback.

Porto v UD Leiria: Oct 25 2010

Some pinpoint passing puts Hulk through and he finishes with a delightful dink to score Porto's first goal in this 5-1 rout of Unaio Leiria.

Hulk was the driving force in this 3-0 win in Lisbon. He drops his shoulder, cuts inside and unleashes a thunderbolt from outside the box.

My favourite memory of Hulk is of Rooney chasing after him after a champions league game in order to exchange jerseys.
My theory is that it's not because he's a great player, but because on the back of the jersey was the name "Hulk".

I thought Lisando Lopez was the better of the two when they were plying their trade at Porto. The name Hulk is intimidating enough never mine the player.
Chelsea is making all the right moves and it looks like Pep could be their coach next season.
