Will the incompetent NEA cause another Bi-election?

If only the NEA was more focused on fighting dengue. From 1 January 2014 to 8 March 2014, a total of 3,122 dengue cases were reported, representing a 25% increase over last year’s figure of 2,503 for the same period. Last year, a record high of 22,170 cases were detected.

If the platelet count of Baey Yam Keng continue to fall below the recommended threshold for dengue patients, perhaps the NEA may just sit up.

No way will they want to be blamed for the horrible prospect of another by-election.

SINGAPORE: Member of Parliament for Tampines GRC Baey Yam Keng has been discharged from hospital after being warded for dengue fever on Sunday night (Nov 30).

In an Instagram post on Thursday, Mr Baey said his platelet count has started to rise and he was well enough to be discharged. He also posted a photo of his cut hospital wristband.
