Yes, the country will survive. As for true blue sinkies, that's another story.

It depends on whether sinkies recognize the source of all the ill omens.

Yes. As long as there is no unexpected earthquake, volcano (eg. Krakatoa) or weird climatic phenomena affecting the area, Singapore will grow with and prosper with the region. The political struggles across South-East Asia are over and every nation in ASEAN is looking forward to prosper, modernize, and grow. Singapore will ride along with this. The future looks bright (regionally) and as long as there is no major political scandal in Singapore, there is no reason why Singapore cannot survive, or even continue to grow more affluent. The only unavoidable setback as a result of this continued growth is crowdedness on this tiny island. Hopefully, there won't be any pathogenic outbreak of contagious type disease in the densely populated country.

Cheers!

what do you think? yes or no and why?

if singapore survive another 50 years, there will be a critical mass reaction, scientist will finally figure out how to make atomic fusion of human beings,

at a critical time period during peak hour at jurong east interchange in the year 2050,atomic mass 8.9m,the platform will be packed tightly together like compressed gas molecules in a sub critical mass.one human being knocked into another human being and the rest was nuclear history.

Food and Water Supply – this tiny island doesn’t really produce enough commodity to feed a quarter of the total population, much of everything ingestible is imported from neighboring countries (who also face their respective series of domestic issues). So when an unforeseen act of God takes place, and halves the yield of crops, this island is at the mercy of supply, or may be forced to pay higher prices.

... No chance...no need to ask why...just look at the direction where the pappies are heading for...
large influx of immigrants to replace the locals in jobs, allowing foreigners to buy HDB flats, giving free scholarship to foreigners and it all boil down to eroding the identity of the locals and making the country the oasis for foreigners.

from what i hear and observe, there is very high chance that s'pore will be reunited with malaysia in time to come. even if our reserve is ample enough to ward off any hostility, and our foreign invesments by GIC and Temasek, how long can that last? i remember speaking to a vietnamese white collar chap working in s'pore, he told me that he aspire to work in temasek for his future. i see that he certainly is optimistic.

It depends quite significantly on our political leadership. The current ones can't even handle a minor crisis. May not be that lucky in future.
