How will pap gerrymandering in the next GE which should be less than 4 years away as it usual for the new PM to have his own mandate within 1-2 years of assuming the office? With east coast needing just 2% to swing over, so will east coast absorb into Tampines and marine Parade?

East coast is not opposition held ward... so its fair game if they change boundary

but they wont touch hougang, aljunied or SK

interesting that LHL AMK borders AJ and SK. WP has 40%+ support in east region, it is difficult for PAP to gerrymander, their advantage is narrowing because they don't have the superior numbers to guarantee a win there. WP should really contest Tampines and Pasir Ris next election.

Ideally it should be the case as contesting in close cluster reduce the impact of pap gerrymandering. Any part that pap redraw will still likely fall under WP contested area.

Having said this, it will very much depends on WP ability to recruit candidates and volunteers. I expect more capable candidates to step forward after this.
