[h=2]AIM – a model for control by PAP assuming it loses GE 1 day[/h]

The present saga – in the ability of a $2 Company owned by the PAP being able to undermine the workings of the AHTC managed by WP – should be a wake-up call to all Singaporeans.
It is amazing that the PAP should allow itself to be exposed in this sordid arrangement using PUBLIC FUNDS – accumulated in the 14 PAP Town Councils through the monthly collection of residents’ Service & Conservancy charges – to develop a software package, only to have this software package to be sold to a $2 company that is found to be owned by PAP and fronted by ex-PAP MPs.
Whatever the “yet-to-be-revealed” details of the transaction maybe between AIM and the 14 PAP Town Councils – with so many questions that are unclear – it shows the questionable methods employed by the PAP in fixing the Alternative Political Parties.
This petty politic at the local and micro-level of Town Council management should raise alarm, when the Ruling PAP has planned to deliberately undermine an incoming NEW Town Council Administration formed by a NON-PAP entity.
At the national level, there exist two main Government Owned Corporations in the GIC and Temasek Holdings – both receiving BILLIONS (or even Trillions) in Public Money transferred from the Finance Ministry.
This Public Money that flow to the GIC and Temasek would have come from either the Government borrowings from the CPF Board, or from the Annual Operating Surplus that should have been transferred to the Reserves – to be watched by the 2-Keys held by the Elected President and Parliament.
The Public Money has helped to fund the financial adventures of GIC and Temasek, and set up all the other Government Linked Companies that are either subsidiaries to GIC and Temasek, or separately set up and controlled by different Ministries.
All of these Government Linked Companies are helmed either by ex-PAP Ministers, ex-PAP MPs, or ex-Civil Servants, or inviduals with direct or indirect ties to the PAP.
Given the present circumstances between AIM and AHTC, it portends a grave future for Singapore in which a large bulk of Public Money in Billions (or Trillions) are controlled by these Government Linked Companies helmed by PAP appointees.
If a $2 AIM can undermine the smooth transition of a Town Council Administration at this local and micro-level, the dangers are even bigger at the national and macro level.
Clearly, the PAP has built up a second line of defence to allow itself to be in control even if it suffers a major loss at a General Election in which an Alternative Political Party will form the next Government.
It is no surprise that since 1965, the PAP has continued to dismantle the various public institutions, and make drastic changes to the Constitution – with a clear agenda designed to allow itself a continuous grip on political power.
Will the Government Owned or Linked Companies answer to a NEW Government formed by an Alternative Political Party?
Will the ex-PAP Ministers, ex-PAP MPs, ex-Civil Servants, and political appointees that helm these Government Owned or Linked Companies respond to a NEW Government formed by an Alternative Political Party?
When the PAP Government ignoring the legitimate calls – from the late President Elect Ong Teng Cheong – to give a full accounting of the Reserves to be guarded by the President’s Office, it creates serious concern for Singaporeans that the PAP will surely ignore the calls by a legitimately elected New Government formed by an Alternative Political Party.
It seems that the PAP has plans to deliberately create chaos to undermine the efforts of a NEW Government formed by an Alternative Political Party.
Clearly, the PAP has no interest to create institutional stability for Singapore as it continue to indulge in ‘DUPLICITY and HYPOCRISY’ to stay in perpetual power.
