Wild boars spotted at S'pore reservoir

That Mr Ng is a director??? And he is a complete idiot completely. Even that young man who never saw a wild boar before worried of being charged and rightful so.

I encouraged a wild boar during my NS before. The speed of a wild boar charge can left legs crippled and broken. After a wild boar charged at our section, we were left in cold sweat, as it charged all of a sudden and too fast too.

Mr Ng should be fired for giving stupid advise. It only proves he is inexperience and unsuitable for the job. A FT thrash perhaps.

This young bugger is definitely sick in the head and badly inexperienced ;and leading a lost cause in life. His parent gave him a good education and he throw it away and run ACRES for free ( that was what he claimed on TV). For a non profit organisation I really wonder how this bugger earn a living.

This bugger is too naive to think that people actually bothered about animal rights in Singapore.

I heard that he was busy working in the palm oil plantation and it just happened. Maybe it was a bit dark to notice the animal searching for food nearby.

This is possible. But my opinion is this guy is just unlucky.

Pekan Nanas, a town close to Pontian in Johore was a huge pineapple growing region (now don't know - that was early 70s.) Once my uncle and some of his friends organized a piggie hunt because a rogue male (term used for a bad bad boar) was terrrorising the farms. I got to see the beast, yes, beast, after my uncle's friend shot it. It's the size of a car!!! No kidding. I was even afraid to stand next to the carcass after it was dead. They used dogs to flush it from the bush as humans will not be able to detect it if it laid motionless. That kinda boar will kill a man. But this is rare.

The picture of the herd shown in this thread shouldn't cause panic. It is my wish that no attempt/suggestion be made to the authorities to exterminate this peaceful herd. They're just foraging for mum-mum. No crops or farm-hands here to protect.

Cheers!

I agree. Just keep a distance will be good enough. :D

True. And if ya want the bak kua (fck the bak kua, we gotta true roast pigout here), gather a few brave friends, and with a little planning and guts, the evening will be well-rewarded. Hopefully one in da group has good kitchen skills! :)

Cheers!

Typical sinkies behaving like chinamen ah tiongs. See sparrow flying can only think of breakfast porridge.

Nothing too strange in SGP.

We all knew also that there are 81 white swines in our parliament. 1 Ong Cheat Choon from Bukit Batok died already.

The symbol of the nation is a dark coloured BOAR, not named Napolean, but with the same alpahabet...ha ha ha ha :D

I wouldn't eat a sparrow.

But a porker on a stick, I'll lend a hand, it takes effort.

Cheers!

Mr Lim Zhiyang, 29, an engineer, told The New Paper: "When I have the time, I would want to go check out the papa and mama wild boars. I think the little ones maybe quite cute too."

But Ms Joanna Foo, 29, an engineer, has concerns about safety.

Please read closely at the dialogue above.

2 sinkie talked about killing of the bores for food. And then a mother sinkie worried about the safety.

So does that means the bores are not needed to be safe and be killed for food and then human are supposed to be safe?

The equation of cause and effect isn't right. If you wanna be safe, then care for the animals first..
