If the printed press reported it, oh no. That's an oxymoron.
If it was reported in the online media like TOC, TRE or SBF, the PAP is perhaps saved because they have so demonised them as noises and chatter that most Singaporeans would probably dismiss it. Also, the complacent 60% almost never read online "rubbish" like the foregoing. So the PAP can ignore the elephant in the room.
This is where Wikileaks will fill in the gap. It gets to be printed, reported in MSM, and so gets to the general reading public because it is so large it cant be put down by the PAP here, and already is infamous internationally, so its stories carry more traction than ST and online media.
I am sure it irritates and grates on PAP no end. Some of us may find such leaks nothing to laud about, but the fact, the fact my bros, that the PAP bigwigs have to defend themselves and issue rebuttals means that our ends are served. We'll just sit back and enjoy the show. At last, there is someone out there who is untouchable and spewing shit on the whiter than white linens.
