i'm beginning to appreciate basmati lice. costco sells it under its "kirkland" brand in 20 lb bags. very fluffy and fragrant.I like Ah Neh rice.
nowadays it is very easy to find vietnam rice and they are sold about 8 dollars for 5kgNot easy to find vietnam rice in Supermarket.
any thai brand will do. price is based on supply and demand together with the distribution. better distribution, marketing and sales, better brand recognition and demand - thus higher price. may be long time thai resident froggy and yinyang can taste the difference among various brands. for me, golden phoenix. no golden phoenix i jump.can u taste the difference? is expensive rice value for money?

I remember when young,Myanmar rice is the best.nowadays it is very easy to find vietnam rice and they are sold about 8 dollars for 5kg
i don't eat much lice these days. even if i crave for it, it will be brown lice, which is more sexpensive. thus, i only buy small bags, and they cost more per lb. quinoa is now my grain staple. How come so sexpensive?
We usually buy rooster brand. 40lb bag for CAD$28.88
Works out to USD$2.69 per 5lbs.

quinoa in pure form gets into my nasal passages quite a bit as it’s too small to chew. thus i gulp or swallow without mastication. to prevent that from happening, i mix it with bits of cucumber, raisins, seeds, nuts, beans to turn it into salad.I find quinoa very hard to eat. Dont like the taste and texture.
I know all those brown rice quinoa etc are healthier alternatives.
But for someone like me hoping to get cancer and heart attack and stroke and die soon it means little to me. Go for the unhealthy stuff and cross my fingers!
