Why Tony Tan wants to join the Presidential election?

Hope to open a forum on why Tony Tan want to be President? Is is he thinking and what is he wanted to do?
He already 71 year old and his net worth is more than SG$300m .
1. Because of the president salary SG$4m/year? Since he have so much money want some more?
2. Because he think he should be PM before LHL since he have been DPM for quite long time. So need go up one more step?
3. Because he was push by LKY? Can't the PAP find someone else younger than 60 year old?
4. Because he really to do the check and balance in Singapore politic?

Anyone else have others ideas care to share?

In previous posts I did say he does not want the job. He has a calling in life and that is to support the Lee Clan. Everytime they needed him he will respond as a dutiful member of the Clan.

Tony Tan Keng Yam, born 7 February 1940, in Singapore) is a Singaporean mathematician, banker, and politician. Until 1 July 2011, he was Executive Director and Deputy Chairman of the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC) and Chairman of Singapore Press Holdings Limited (SPH). After the conclusion of the 1997 General Elections, Ow Chin Hock and the group of Chinese-educated MPs spoke with Phony Tan and Wooden Goh and asked for the lawsuits against Tang Liang Hong to be dropped as the General Election was over.

All Wooden and Phony could do was to shrug their shoulders and said they could do nothing as Lee Kuan Yew was the one who wanted this done.

So Phony joined Lee Kuan Yew, Lee Hsien Loong, Wooden and his seven other PAP buddies in the destruction of not only Tang Liang Hong and JB Jeyaratnam but also the destruction of Tang's defenceless wife and innocent daughter.
