[h=2]Why the immigration policy will destroy Singapore[/h]
February 5th, 2012
Ours is a tiny country that’s been painstakingly built over the decades. Citizens sacrificed certain liberties and rights to build this country for their future generations. This includes an education system which adopts a disciplinary approach, strict laws, economic principles based on western capitalism, unorthodox death penalty and caning, all of which proved effective in building up a law abiding society constructive for economic productivity. Singapore’s tiny size and population makes it extremely efficient for building such a society compared to large, third world Asian countries. Unlike them, Singapore does not have this disadvantage.
However today it is a different story. The unsung heroes who built this country are slowly vanishing into the depths. What used to be a peaceful country is getting chaotic. We see hideous crimes which were uncommon in the past, new types of scams that are commonly found in other third world countries, cunning foreigners who exploit and take advantage of loopholes in the system as well as new kinds of diseases not native to Singapore. The immigration policy is slowly bringing down the country by importing the rest of the world’s problems into our own living space.
We have china women breaking up families, Pinoys and Indians exploiting the public housing system, western permanent residents skipping NS, foreign workers committing murders that are commonplace in Indian villages. We have to ask ourselves if the GDP is so important compared to stability, security and peace in society?
Its sheer madness to grow GDP because that isn’t going to save Singapore with rising competition from cheaper countries, it’s utter stupidity to compete with 3rd world nations with the old economic model, because it’s just not going to work but will result in more inflation and social problems. All these just brings problem to the PAP and Singaporeans. Let us all ask is this worth the effort?
What we are seeing is an upheaval of the native population and replacements which just don’t make the cut. Pap needs to take a hard look at itself and analyze where it went wrong.
