those must be low quality lice sold at hawker centers for lice-based food products such as png in cai png, nasty lemak, ketupat, lontong, etc. some cheapskate chink and tiong eateries offer lousy lice as a side for $2 a bowl. only the poor and low ses will gian png that kind of lice.
