Honestly, there are some editors who are not from ISD, but behave worse than ISD.

The answer is Yes. If Malaysia only had one newspaper under Umno, the jho low saga would never have been revealed and najib will still be in power.

A "free" press is the last protection for a democracy against government abuse.

yes , i am pretty aware of edge involvement ..if my memory serves me right ,it was a Swiss guy ,forgot his name ,who worked for jho low partners escaped with the entire downloads of that dirty deals....than a sale agreement was negotiated between the Swiss guy and the edge boss but the edge never kept its part of the bargain and that a copy of that download was also passed to sarawak report ...sarawak report pursued but the edge was silenced by Najib and Najib arranged for the Swiss guy to be arrested and prisoner in Thailand...I may have missed some details but that should sum up

Yes, he was quoted saying that when he joined SPH more than 30 yrs ago. He was one of the most senior civil servant admin officers to join. I recall he was already a Director in MTI. So naturally, a number of journalists were cautious about him, even though he wasn't from ISD. Hence, the symbol of the "plant" on his table.

Other than their obvious bias in certain topics of geopolitical interests, their coverage of Sinkie news should be much better than the horseshit SPH and Mediacorp churns out everyday. Even Jack Ma's SCMP does a better job.

The quality of their pieces are much better than Shitty Times.
It is also updated frequently as and when things happen.
With Shitty Times, even when the paper has been dropped at my door step,
sometimes the website is not updated.

This, once again, shows the total lack of ideas of the people running the SPH media business. That's what you get when you appoint an ex civil servant to head it.

I will dare say because the shitizens here do not have much creativity, passion or gut in their genome.
