In the good old days everyone thought that consciousness was a product of chemical reactions within the brain. Now the latest theory is that it has something to do with quantum mechanics and quantum entanglement.

Have you ever experienced a 6th sense that someone close to you is going through some sort of crisis despite being separated across thousands of km? Quantum entanglement may be the reason for this occurrence.

I no longer can conclude, with any degree of certainty, that a God cannot exist. However I'm not about to embrace any established faith because there is too much evidence that all the major religions were created by man to consolidate a power base. In other words man made religious dogma is all about politics and not about faith.

Yes this is exactly how I used to think... that God was a convenient way of explaining what we don't understand.

However the transformation I went through was suddenly realising that what we DO understand makes a far more compelling argument for the existence of a higher intelligence because it is so complex that it cannot have happened by chance.

Take a simple example... the pyramids. Nobody has postulated that a pile of rocks that happened to be cubic in shape landed in such a way to form the pyramids of Egypt after an earthquake, a tsunami or a volcanic explosion. It happened by design. There is no other explanation.

So when you analyse the human body do you really think that a series of random events over a million years somehow produced something as complex as us.

Intelligent design does not need to exclude the process of evolution. The two can coexist in harmony. The designer, whoever or whatever it may be, could have embedded a self improvement process into the primary model to allow for adaptation and this would be to his/its credit for displaying the foresight that the environment would change over time and also that it was not homogeneous across the planet.

In order to explain our own existence we first have to grasp the concept of "infinity. If we can't then a degree of acceptance is needed that there are no easy answers.
