At the end of the day, quantum science is just information theory on how very small things work. Until it is disproven (or not). Science can help to explain, which is great, helps us to be less ignorant. Hence the more we know, the more we should move away from the notion of divine intervention in any part of the process. In the good old days everyone thought that consciousness was a product of chemical reactions within the brain. Now the latest theory is that it has something to do with quantum mechanics and quantum entanglement.
Have you ever experienced a 6th sense that someone close to you is going through some sort of crisis despite being separated across thousands of km? Quantum entanglement may be the reason for this occurrence.
I no longer can conclude, with any degree of certainty, that a God cannot exist. However I'm not about to embrace any established faith because there is too much evidence that all the major religions were created by man to consolidate a power base. In other words man made religious dogma is all about politics and not about faith.

I have not experienced 6th sense, but i know what you mean.
You are right about organised religions. And they are also man's feeble attempts at explaining our existence on earth and hereafter. Using a religious reason to explain things is the ultimate cop-out. Those people are intellectually lazy.
Consciousness = soul = eternal?
ok, so this phenomenon cannot be explained by physics which makes it a kind of anomaly. And yet it has application in cryptography, computer science and so on. Interesting stuff!Quantum entanglement is an observation not a theory. Nobody seems to have come up with a viable explanation as to how two particles can behave in this manner. It is not limited to atomic particles.

But I find most intriguing is this : quantum entanglement might help us explain the brain’s enormous power, and its ability to generate consciousness.

This could explain those out of body or near death experience where the person's soul (consciousness) departs from the physical body, and yet can hear, see and understand what is going on.

make breakfast like meI woke up to take a pee, with the intention of jumping back into bed. But I decided to have a drink and a smoke, because why not?
Whilst doing that, I decided to turn on my computer to find porn to masturbate to. Because why not?!
Then I went into this forum and saw boss's post. Decided to google a bit on the subject so I don't appear like a complete bloody idiot. I can live with being a semi-idiot but not a complete one.
Now I am wide awake, having only slept like four hours. It's going to be a long tiring day, unless I can get drunk now and fall back asleep.

Neil deGrasse Tyson on God of the Gaps (gaps in scientific understanding are regarded as indications of the existence of God)
Someone please explain, in simple terms, what a Hilbert space is.

Very difficult to convince. They must wake up themselves form within, either anally raped by Christians or by reality itself.how to convince a person who intends to become missionary to u turn and be normal ?
You're heading in the opposite direction. To you, science is proof of the existence of an intelligent designer/God/Alien race? This is really curious indeed!Yes this is exactly how I used to think... that God was a convenient way of explaining what we don't understand.
However the transformation I went through was suddenly realising that what we DO understand makes a far more compelling argument for the existence of a higher intelligence because it is so complex that it cannot have happened by chance.
Take a simple example... the pyramids. Nobody has postulated that a pile of rocks that happened to be cubic in shape landed in such a way to form the pyramids of Egypt after an earthquake, a tsunami or a volcanic explosion. It happened by design. There is no other explanation.
So when you analyse the human body do you really think that a series of random events over a million years somehow produced something as complex as us.

And humans were created by this higher intelligence because the human body is too complex to have adapted and evolved over millions of year? Then how come there are vestiges on and within the human body (wisdom teeth, the appendix, the coccyx, body hair etc). This higher intelligence updating design versions? I think it's just evolution at work.
Seems you are a deist.
Just finished my workout. Bad weather today so no group ride.Boss Sam, it appears you are spending a lot of time pondering some cheem elusive stuff. Take it easy, get into a new hobby (like buying parts and assembling watches, it's fun and rewarding). Or get outdoors, make a trip to The Remarkables.![]()

The Watchmaker Analogy: A Self-Refuting Argument
If we say that life is designed, with what are we making the comparison? All that is non-life? Suppose we say that the entire universe is designed. Well, we don't have another universe to compare ours to.
