Whats wrong with YOLO lifestyle? Missionary life is actually offgrid. Receive cash, no tax, all accommodation, food provided, people see you as ambassador from God, treat you respect.

Everyday lim kopi, talk about God, pray for people, actually very good life.

That's very cheem!! Sorry I don't know anything about molecular biology!!

Perhaps our genetic code evolved over millions of years and what it is today is just a snapshot in a process that is still evolving. Certain chemicals and agents that do not merge well or serve no part in strengthening the whole will be gradually eliminated. Sort of like survival of the fittest or the most useful?

On a non-cellular level, we can see there are many things around us which are wonderfully designed, e.g., a snowflake, fibonacci sequence, etc. No designer was involved. Only nature adapting and evolving. Please don't tell me god created nature and blah blah. And what's so damned special about the christian god anyway?

Western science is predicated on consciousness as an epiphenomenon of matter. That is, consciousness as we know it is a by-product of neurons in our physical brain firing away and releasing chemical neurotransmitters that act at synapses.

What if we turn this materialist assumption on its head and say, maybe consciousness is embedded in the very fabric of matter - its atoms, molecules and sub-atomic particles. Maybe, even, that matter is an epiphenomenon of consciousness, i.e. at some (higher) level consciousness precedes and engenders matter. That our own piddly localised consciousness is subsumed within a larger infinite non-local Consciousness that some call God.

Then we may begin to understand quantum entanglement and non-locality.

Actually thats wrong. Long prayers were reprimanded by Jesus. Short prayers are best. In fact shortest prayer is " help me God!" Or just "help" and then God will see you as really sincere because the person really call out to God when he need God.

Which of course makes life of pastor or missionary even easier! Ultimately, pastor or missionary is not supposed to receive any glory, glory goes to God anyway
