The answer lies in building a cult personality, creating a god out of human, a hero that can do no wrong.

For Sinkees to see their hero god LKY in such zombie state is very discouraging to the followers, one has to imagine if it is a game to make the followers move to the Loong son of god. Just check what Putin the russian god is up to. He want to fill the void left behind by Stalin.

But Singapore is a far more open society than China and N Korea combined. So, there is a need to retain the working institutions and reform the justice system post Lee era.
