Because In sheep the most common location for lesions is the placenta, the most recognised of causes is placental disease.

It is very important that any investigation includes examination of the placenta. Placentitis and multifocal placental cotyledonary necrosis are the main lesions.

i would have thought the most common wear and tear found in sheep is in the rectum, especially in kiwiland. :eek:
