They keep talking about willing seller and willing buyer when relates to COV .
This kind of reply is like an agent’s response---a rude reply to local buyers who haggle the COV.
It is like telling locals that if you have no money for COV, that's your business, the best bidder wins--be they PRs or what , PERIOD !
Or is it PAP dare not curb the high COV because they scare to lose votes?
Many suspect it is another big mistake allowing the COV to be born.
Just imagine many thousands already bought HDB resale with high COV, if PAP tries to bring down the COV, house value drops and leaseholders will vote against them.
Another possibility is that if COV is curbed, then location become another a joke.
All these good locations and good views are just gimmicks to boost HDB value.
Besides, last ST report already named the political price---80% think HDB house is value for money.
HDB flats have a political price.
Voters in singapore do not vote for a govt. Every man is for himself. PAP can sense it.
COV is like bidding a HDB resale house, the highest bid get the house.
Young Local buyers in the hurry to set up a family will be priced out unless their parents could afford to chip in the funds.
Now Who is joking about more babies ?
This is a true instance ---HDB also collects COV in cash on behalf of the resale owners and pay the owners back after the paper is done.
Which HDB resale leaseholder would do a noble thing—sell it at the loss or without COV ?
If PAP wishes to allow such dirty HDB resale trade to go on, then build HDB new flats like Teh Cheang wan’s days----build plentiful of new flats for the locals to choose.
PAP should not push the COV issue to willing- buyer and willing- seller doctrine that sounds like an house agent.
Then Who to protect the not-so well off local buyers who need a resale flat as much as the foreigners.
Foreigners are allowed to purchase the HDB resale. More problems will come if HDB resale COV is not addressed
Not to forget that locals too face another challenge competing with new citizens in their thousands to opt for new flats.
The 3 to 5 years' wait can be a torment to many local couples.
Small Singapore will also face land scarce in the future if the artificial population continues to explode.
Living underground is easy to say and done for those PAP millionaires who can breathe fresh air from their gardens.
Going nuclear also needs a new mindset of a govt, PAP is not suitable for this era.
Stupid local voters who vote to sell Singapore away deserve all-out divine retribution. The day will come.
