Cecilia Sue appeared in courts today 4pm. So photos of her from all the print media: the Shitty Times, Channel News, AsiaOne, Today.

This is unlike Kong Hee, Ng Boon Gay, Peter Lim, law professor Tay etc when they appeared in court. Their photos were splashed all over the print media's website within an hour.

Have the media been told not to print her photo?

Wonder if the news tonight will have footage of Cecilia Sue.

[TD][FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]SINGAPORE: Cecilia Sue Siew Nang was called to the stand on Wednesday in the continuing trial of former Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) chief Ng Boon Gay.

Ng, 46, faces four counts of corruption.

He allegedly obtained oral sex from Ms Sue on four occasions, in exchange for furthering the business interests of her then employers - Hitachi Data Systems and Oracle Corporation Singapore.

Ms Sue was a strategic sales director at Hitachi from April 2010 to November last year.

And in late November 2011, she joined Oracle as a senior sales manager.

She was called to the stand on Wednesday afternoon for the second day of Ng's trial.

In the morning hearing, Oracle's managing director Mr Leslie Ong took the stand again.

He told the court that Ms Sue was in charge of servicing the CNB account.

Under Senior Counsel Tan Chee Meng's cross-examination, the court heard that the company had no plans to engage CNB during their planning review process in December 2011

Mr Ong said for FY2012 to FY2014, forecasts from the planning review showed that there was no business contemplated with CNB for that period.

During the cross-examination, Mr Ong said Ms Sue was aware that in terms of potential business with CNB, there was nothing in the pipeline in the next three years.

Mr Ong also told the court that in mapping out and ranking the top officials of the agencies under the Home Affairs Ministry, Ms Sue was just following protocol and nothing was unusual.

Defence counsel Tan also touched on the compliance of the code of ethics at Oracle.

To that, Mr Ong said there are strict policies against corrupt practices and that all employees are expected to complete a course on ethics online.

Former IT executive Cecilia Sue Siew Nang took the stand at about 4pm.

Maybe this is the reason why:

Meanwhile, Ms Cecilia Sue Siew Nang, the second witness called up by the prosecution, turned up at court this morning dressed in a dark suit and pants ensemble, with her eyes covered by a pair of glasses. She managed to avoid the media by heading straight to a concealed witness room and stayed in there throughout the trial, only coming out once to use the toilet.

Ex-CNB chief reveals he has to spend life savings on case
Legal costs estimated at half a million dollars. -AsiaOne

AsiaOne
During the second day of the sex-for-contracts case, the man at the centre of the trial revealed that he had to spend his life savings on fighting the case.
Ng Boon Gay, former chief of the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB), told this to a member of the public who had attended the day's trial, after the latter stepped up to Ng to speak to him during a recess.
Shin Min Daily News reported that Ng spoke to the anonymous person patiently. He said that fighting the case was not cheap, and he would have to use his life savings to afford his legal fees.
An estimate of the cost of his legal fees came to about $500,000, reported Shin Min. His lawyers, Senior Counsel Tan Chee Meng and Melanie Ho, command hourly fees that range in thousands and up to $800 respectively.
The member of the public proceeded to encourage Ng and wished him well.
