When sg govt allow banks here to milk us dry???????????????????

Put your money in argentina even better. While you were earning just that litle bit more in interest, boleh land currency has depreciated by that little bit more also.

in bolehland its better to spend ur money fast than save it because the currency could be worth shit tomorrow, thats why they tempt u by offering higher interest to deposit ur money but its a trap......better withdraw all ur ringgit and spend it on marrybrown chicken and kenny rogers fast.

If you use the money in bolehland to buy stuff to sell in sinkapore, then you will be ahead as stuff are cheaper there.

Interest rate goes both ways.

Sinkieland is a money lending and laundering hub. To facilitate that, interest rates must be kept low to induce people and businesses to borrow more.

If you haven't noticed already: these days the banks in Sinkieland don't really give a shit about you depositing your money with them. Rather, they are more keen to earn interest from you through consumer debt (credit cards) and having their 'relationship managers' sweet talk you into signing up for some dubious investment scheme.

You should thank Lee Hsien Loong for liberalizing the banking industry. Besides lowering the interest rates, now you even have exotic foreign banks operating in Sinkieland (e.g. State Bank of India). :D

Whenever the exchange rate favours the SIN$ I buy ringgit & then go to JB to depoist in my bank account in JB. When I see a buying oppurtunity I use the ringgit to buy more Malaysian shares. I also use the RM$ for my shopping & makan trips in Malaysia..

In all these years I have never had any problems. Maybe because I use public transport e.g. shared taxis, bus

The only time I feel uncomfortable is when I am carrying a few thousand $ in ringgit. Have to carry all those bills in a plastic bag.
