Why most people believe without foreigners Singapore will not survive rather than thinking what had led us to be so dependant on foreigners and MNCs? Is being an export nation the only way out?
SembCorp and Sembawang Shipyard hired 50,000 workers but 45,000 are foreigners (if I remembered correctly). 2 large local companies hiring a lot more FTs that locals. That is even less than one-third of the total workforce.
