SINGAPORE - A 27-year-old Singaporean man allegedly pointed a cable cutter at a convenience store staff in order to rob the shop of two power banks. He was charged with armed robbery on Thursday (Jan 7).

Shidee Abdul Wahab is alleged to have committed the offence at the 7-Eleven shop at Block 423 Choa Chu Kang Avenue 4 just past midnight on Dec 11, last year.

The two power banks were worth $98 in total.

District Judge Christopher Goh granted the police prosecutor's application to remand Shidee for a week at Jurong Police Division, with permission to take him out for investigations.

The police, in a statement on Wednesday, said the suspect's identity was established with the aid of police surveillance cameras in thearea.

He was arrested on Tuesday in Choa Chu Kang.

If convicted of armed robbery by night, Shidee faces up to 14 years' jail. He also faces a minimum of 12 strokes of the cane, if found guilty.

stfu nigger. sg is less racist than mudland and mudland has many m&ds in power cos they got it unfairly. it's like running a 100m race and getting a headstart or coming in 2nd but still getting the gold. that's how mudland is but what is worse you totally ignore that and say sg is racist when in reality no malay can make it. The reason why there are so few malay generals is cos none of them can make it. Period.

Anyway i have this question for you. You say singapore is racist that is why so few malays make it ok. Yet in mudland they are openly racist to chinese. openly discriminatory to them. Yet chinese are richer and more successful than the m&ds. A chinese running a 100m race gets to start later and behind a m&d and yet he still wins. In singapore there isn't such advantage for a chinese. So pls answer these 2 factors. Where is the supposed racism/prejudice in singapore towards m&ds?
