Why is this ST food editor aLways promoting fatty & unheaLthy foods..

I suspect that the editor may be getting $ for her recommendations. Isn't that the case with the "Makan Sutra' guy:confused:

Bro johnny333, some of these "food critic" even ask for free food and threaten the resturants with bad write up if they are not given the best free food.

You are not the first person to tell me this but I like my food fried and a bit on the salty side so maybe thats why I am a little on the rotund side.

Bro hylambobat, you like your food fried, abit on the salty side? That is perfectly okay. ;)

I like my food saltish and wet. Think Cantonese. Ha ha :D :D :D

Week & and week out, chances are that you can read how she's recommending these 'heavy stuffs' to the readers !
How can this be inLine with our NationaL HeaLth programmes' then ?..:(

Just one exampLe which was pubLished Last Sunday on ST......

Bro Fishypie, why you choose the write up on sotong??? :o :(

Thatz me you know. :D

Yes, it is up to each to eat what he likes to eat.

But then, don't you think the st editor ought to refrain from recommending so much of such fatty and high cholestrol food just because she likes it? Some people are clueless that such food are harmful to health in the long run.

As a reporter, she has a responsiblility to present both sides of the story which obviously she is bias in this instance. An editor???:o:(

Bro prancku, genes do play a part about the effects of such food in the long run. Some guys can have all the luck.

A friend of mine who took healthy lifestyle very seriously recently had to undergo TWO bypass.

Another friend of mine who eat all kinds of what you have, still walking around with a clean bill of health in his recent check up.

Let me guess..you are more into Western foods ?..;)

Not really. I like both Western and local and I eat out often, too often in fact. Its a well known fact that eating out isnt the healthiest thing to do but sometimes cant be helped because of work.

Yes I do love Cantonese food too. Do you have any blood pressure problems? For me so far so good but I'll start to take a bit more precautions regarding my salt intake.
