Why is it so difficult for PAP to accept responsibility and say they made a mistake?

1. Massive import of CECA and foreigners PMETs causing displacement of many many Singaporeans in the workforce

2. No mask on policy

3. Ivan Lim selection

Why?

To the PAP even if they are wrong, they are right. No apology needed.
J Teo claimed no one has ever demanded an apology from PAP. In contrary, many people have praised PAP are doing the right thing, gold standard

Once they do that, voters would lose confidence on them

4. House the foreign workers in crowded dorms and now taxpayers got to pay for their cock up

They wear all-white and so always clean and perfect. Also no one dare to demand an apology from them for fear of reprisals..

Because there is not enough opposition members in parliament yet, so no need to apologise to the voters.

Simple answer is because they think since they inherit LKY's party, they will behave like LKY.

But on big difference LKY does is that upon recognition of his mistake, he will do his utmost to overturn that mistake, without revealing and apologizing to the public. So what the public sees are only good results.

Unlike this 4G who just makes things bad to worse.

Authoritarian regimes seldom or never apologize: it detracts from the 'divinity' of their rule.

They are always correct and glorious.
